Job Description / Responsibility

A renowned financial institution is seeking a technically sound and mid to senior level C# developer to join their global equity derivatives development Team in Tokyo.

In this role, you will participate in regional and global development and project meetings. Provide

suggestions on design and enhancements as well as being a key partner of the global equities

derivates team.

Other responsibilities will include

· Follow global development, change management standards to deliver quality enhancement or solutions in timely manner

· Participate in development, code reviews and post mortem activities

· Participate in Rota for release management and provide 2nd and 3rd level support

· Good team player, ensure a cohesive culture to effectively solve business problems while building a strategic platform for global equities

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering

· 5 or more years of C# development experience with a preference in equity derivatives trading and risk domain

· Ability to:

   oWork with global teams in matrix reporting environment

   oCommunicate and act professionally wit IT staff and business clients

   oCope with rapid front-office business needs and deal with changing priorities

· Strong verbal and written communication skills at multiple levels

· Strong analytical skills

· Fluent written and spoken English

· Japanese is a plus but not required

Educational Requirements

 · Bachelor’s degree

Additional Job Requirements

· Understanding of trading and risk management with a preference in equities and derivatives space

· Understanding of messaging infrastructures, computer farms and relation database technologies

· Excellent programming skills in C#, good at other language like Java, Python or C++ 

· A working knowledge of Asia equities
